Steven was sworn into the practice of law in 2006 and immediately started handling cases in Circuit Court. In 2007 he accepted a position as an Assistant District Attorney where he handled the worst of the worst cases. Steven managed a massive docket in DeSoto County. In 2014 Steven took over Yalobusha and Tallahatchie counties where he brought his skills successfully prosecuting numerous murders. In 2023 Steven took on the duties of Lafayette County taking several murders to trial achieving convictions and long sentences for the people of the Third Circuit.

Working with Horn Lake Police Department, Child Protective Services, and Healing Hearts Child Advocacy Center Steven ensured a conviction and life sentence. The child's father was also convicted and received a sentence of forty years to serve. No one will ever be able to bring that child back, but justice was served and the murderer will never harm anyone again.
Fernando Medina Rivero was convicted of Sexual Battery and Fondling that went on for years. Working in concert with the Marshall County Sheriff's Department and Hernando Police Department Steven secured the conviction and the child predator was sentenced to 38 years to serve.
After assaulting his former girlfriend, Matthew Nemacheck fled law enforcement. During that pursuit he took the life of Malil Alilovic, a truck driver who was trying to take care of his family. Steven sent the Defendant to prison where he can't harm anyone else. Nothing will bring Malil back to his family, but justice was served.
Working with investigators with the Southaven Police Department Steven brought Brian Damron to justice for his brutal crime. His sentence brought justice and gave his victim an opportunity to have her say in court and made her a survivor.
Steven strongly believes that no one is above the law. After the defendant was caught for his role in a massive car theft ring, Jubera sought and received the maximum sentence of 10 years to serve.
Mario Kirkwood was sentenced to 55 years to serve for the murder of Keon Kirk. Steven Jubera along with an amazing team of prosecutors ensured justice was served for the killing of a young man.
Steven has long sought justice for victims of domestic violence. William Joseph Hogan shot and killed his wife. Steven argued that Hogan intended to kill his wife. After a jury trial the defendant was convicted of Murder.
