Family Crisis has long served families of Northwest Mississippi by providing forensic interviews of children who have been victims of abuse. Steven offers his years of experience combating child abuse to take care of those who need us most.

Steven's dedication to the safety of children and his faith led him to serve as a member of the Diocesan Review Board. All cases of clergy abuse are reviewed by the review board and recommendations for action are made to the Bishop. Steven also makes recommendation regarding issues related to child protection.

Steven's dedication to child protection and the Church resulted in his nomination to the National Review Board. The NRB makes recommendations to the Conference of Catholic Bishops for nationwide policies. Steven served as chair of the Audit Committee.

Steven has long been a proponent of Child Advocacy including working diligently to establish Healing Heart's Child Advocacy Center in DeSoto County.

Steven is a barbecue enthusiast. During Winter Storm Fern Steven used his skills to help feed our neighbors in need.

Steven and Holly established the Velvet Ditch Steak Classic as a fundraiser for Family Crisis. Steven firmly believes that food, faith, and family create a better community.

Steve and Holly understand that children learn through experience and competition is essential to developing the next generation. The Velvet Ditch gave an outstanding opportunity for kids to show their stuff.

Working with our friend's at Ain't It The Life BBQ Steve raised thousands more for Family Crisis.
