Devil Dogs and Puppy Dogs

Holly and I have been canvasing through the district. We will not be able to get to every house. Time is not on our side. It is important to me to talk to as many voters face to face and eye to eye as possible. Websites and mailers convey information, but they cannot let convey the personal touch of a handshake. It is hard work in the 100+ degree temperatures.

Along the way I have met many of my fellow Marines. Any time I see a brother or sister from the Corps I get a boost of energy. Someone just like me stood on those yellow footprints, who wrote a blank check to our country, who shares the values of honor, courage and commitment frankly motivates me to keep going.

One of my favorite parts of canvasing door to door is the dogs. I am a dog guy. Yesterday I had a giant pitbull who needed belly rubs. She was beautiful and had no clue she was a great big mass of muscle and love..
